Prophecies are not given to us so we would be able to predict the future. He gave us prophecy for one reason. Jesus put is best when He predicted his betrayal:

John 13:19. I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am who I am.

Prophecies are to bring glory to God so that unbelievers may believe.

We will post news stories of events related to military alliances or actions based on Ezekiel 38-39. These chapters prophecy about a leader (Gog) coming against Israel from the North. Gog leads an alliance of nations which–by their modern name–include the areas of Russia, Iran and Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Sudan, and Ethiopia.

God will fight against this alliance so strongly that they will recognize His hand.

Interestingly Ezekiel 38:13 lists a couple of countries that sit back and accuse the alliance of merely wanting to rob Israel of her riches. Saudi Arabia is one of these countries, and some speculate that the “Young lions” of Tarshish might refer to the United States.

In His “Olivet Discourse” as recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, Jesus gave us some early signs that will occur before He returns. He called them the “beginnings of sorrows” or “beginnings of birth pains,” depending on the translation you read. Because of the way discourse has changed over the centuries, we can’t be sure of the order of events,  but what is clear is that the “beginning of sorrows” leads up to the rapture and the wrath.

Most of the events He details are under a different category, “Fearful Sights,” but it is in these verses where He mentions wars and rumors of wars.

In His “Olivet Discourse” as recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, Jesus gave us some early signs that will occur before He returns. Because of the way discourse has changed over the centuries, we can’t be sure of the order of events,  but what is clear is that the “beginning of sorrows” leads up to the rapture and the wrath.

Here are some of the events He detailed: Great earthquakes in various places, famines, diseases, fearful sights, great signs from heaven, signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth, people will be bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the surging of the waves. People will faint from fear and anxiety over what is coming upon the earth.

Revelation 13 describes a system of government were all countries are united under a single king. This king does everything the devil wants done. The king is most commonly known as the antichrist. Revelation 17 speaks of a collection of 10 kings who willingly give their power to the antichrist.

This site isn’t interested in guessing the identity of the antichrist, but we will post news stories that show that our society is being conditioned for his one-world government, or stories about any  collection of countries that could evolve into the ten kings. This includes stories about globalism or about technology that can be used to implement the strict rules of the beast system.

Rev 13:16-17: And the second beast [commonly known as the false prophet] required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark—the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Rev 17:12-13 The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but will receive one hour of authority as kings, along with the beast [the antichrist.]These kings have one purpose: to yield their power and authority to the beast.

In his 2nd letter to Timothy (in chapter 3), Paul said that in the last days people “will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good, traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!

God gives us a hint of the timing of the Day of the Lord. “When they are saying ‘peace and safety’ sudden destruction will fall on them and they will not escape.” Read I Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 for more information.
